We had a lovely lunch at the Commodore. The service was just the right mix of professional but friendly, not too pushy but not ignored either. We had a table with a lovely view which was helped by the day being sunny and warm. Our lunch was nicely presented and tasted great, I think it wasn't over priced compared to other pubs and restaurants in Instow but I think the Commodore has a nicer ambience. Definitely come back again, the only caveat is that the bar prices are maybe a bit higher than in the pub.
Beautiful setting with wonderful vista from the terrace. Enjoyed coffee and very generous size 'sandwich' that came with fries, wife's came with crisps. Only downside was dogs not allowed inside. Fortunately a lovely day!
